Designed by Isabel Osgood-Roach (me!) & my spouse Zoe Walsh using classified ads published in our original copy of On Our Backs magazine (given to Zoe in 2012 by an elder lesbian who was clearing clutter!!) from fall 1986. We scanned & rearranged our favorite - most evocative, sexy, and tender - personal ads to make a one-of-a-kind queer tee, sourced from the lesbian archive <3 This issue even included a classified written by trans angel Lou Sullivan to disseminate the transgender support guide he wrote in the same year!
Short sleeves have personal ad classifieds on the front and long sleeves also have community/organizing/publications classifieds on the back - Gay Community News, Mom Guess What newspaper, the Wishing Well, Leather and Lace (“California’s oldest and largest Lesbian S/M organization”), SF Sex Information Volunteer Training, Outrageous Women journal, and the year - Fall, 1986…it’s amazing!!!!
