All tube tops cut & sewn in small batches in downtown LA on high-quality fabrics! Screenprinted by hand at The Print Shop LA with classified & personal ads published in 1986. Each tube top came out a little bit different! Designed by Isabel Osgood-Roach (me!) & my spouse Zoe Walsh using classified ads published in our original copy of On Our Backs magazine (given to Zoe in 2012 by an elder lesbian who was clearing clutter!!) from fall ‘86. We scanned & rearranged our favorite - most evocative, sexy, and tender - personal ads to make a one-of-a-kind queer image, sourced from the lesbian archive <3 This issue even included a classified written by trans angel Lou Sullivan to disseminate the transgender support guide he wrote in the same year!
Slinky fabric available in black or pink is a poly-blend, cotton/spandex fabric is available in white, gray, and black! Available in S-3XL, both fabrics have stretch. Catie is wearing the 3X black cotton and pink poly, Grace is wearing the white cotton XL, I’m wearing the S!
